Join Professor Andrew Lesk as he converses with Jim Rugg, author of the graphic novel Afrodisiac at The University of Toronto.

Jim Rugg is a comic book artist, illustrator, and designer living in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the co-creator of SUPERMAG, Afrodisiac, Street Angel, The PLAIN Janes, and USApe. His work has appeared from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, New York Magazine, VH1, McSweeney’s, Smirnoff, Converse, and Capcom.

So who wants to see the new live-action movie based on the classic cartoon SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO, A.K.A. STARBLAZERS? Probably you! If you’re the unlucky type or just can’t bare to miss your chance at seeing it, head over to Cineplex.com and buy your tickets RIGHT AWAY! One night only, folks!

But if you want to try your luck, we’ve got seven (7) single passes to see the one-night-only screening of this titanic film! Read on to find out how you can win one!

Enter to win one of seven passes to see SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO on Monday, November 11th!

All you have to do is make sure you’re subscribed to The Beguiling mailing list (sign-up is in the upper-right corner of this page!), and send an email with your name, phone number, and “STARBLAZERS” to beguilingcontests@gmail.com before Friday, November 8th at 11:59pm. We will draw the winners at that time, and e-mail the winners. Tickets can be picked up at The Beguiling beginning Saturday, November 9th, at 11am.  

RULES & REGULATIONS:

  1. Subject line MUST contain entrant’s name, phone number, and “STARBLAZERS”, and must be sent to beguilingcontests@gmail.com.
  2. Entries must be made from an e-mail address subscribed to The Beguiling’s mailing list. Signup on the front page of https://www.beguilingbooksandart.com. (Seriously, we check and we disqualify people not subscribed to the mailing list.)
  3. Entries must be received before Friday, November 8th, 2013, at 11:59pm.
  4. Employees and family members of The Beguiling are not eligible to win.
  5. One entry per household/phone number.
  6. No purchase necessary, void where prohibited, no cash value, odds of winning depend on total number of entries received, etc.
  7. Screening takes place Monday, November 11th, at 7pm.
